About this colour

At #7F5C7A, Meadow Violet reads as a cool-leaning violet with a soft red depth that keeps it from feeling icy. It takes light gently, so it will sit close and slightly dusky on the wall rather than flashing bright. In a north-facing room it can look more shadowed and berry-toned, with the blue in it becoming more apparent. In south light it opens up and shows its warmer plum side, especially beside pale oak, walnut, linen neutrals and deeper greens. On woodwork, Active Emulsion or Waterbased Eggshell will give it a neat, composed look that works well with both crisp white trim and darker stained joinery.

How to use it

Meadow Violet suits a sitting room, study or dressing room where you want depth without heaviness. It pairs well with berry-toned upholstery, checked wool, natural wood furniture and curtains in soft sage, stone or warm taupe.

On a wall, Meadow Violet feels refined and quietly moody, with enough depth to anchor a room.
