About this colour

At #C0B8AD, Mushroom Grey reads as a warm taupe-grey with a muted, settled presence on the wall. It lifts light gently rather than reflecting it sharply, so it feels reassuring in larger rooms and never stark. In north-facing light it can look a little cooler and more stone-like, while in south-facing rooms the beige side comes forward and the shade feels softer and warmer. In Active Emulsion or Waterbased Eggshell, it works well beside natural oak, walnut, aged brass and upholstered pieces in cream, camel or soft charcoal.

How to use it

It suits living rooms, bedrooms and hallways where a quiet neutral is needed with a little more depth than plain grey. Use it with painted woodwork in off-white or with darker timber and tailored upholstery in linen, wool or velvet tones.
