Menlo Gull

Elliot FabricL9389-04

Menlo Gull is a quiet, closely woven herringbone with a soft taupe-beige ground and a slightly darker thread giving the surface gentle definition. Its fine, regular pattern reads calm and tailored rather than decorative.

About this fabric

Woven in 46% cotton, 42% wool and 12% polyester, Menlo Gull has the balanced handle of a versatile textile and a softly textured finish. The herringbone is very small in scale, with a neat zigzag that shows more as tone-on-tone movement than a strong contrast. In this colourway the palette sits in a warm neutral range, with beige and taupe notes that feel understated and easy to layer. The 130cm approximate width and repeat of V 0cm / H 2cm approx make it practical for coordinated upholstery or elegant drapery schemes. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for reference.

How to use it

Use Menlo Gull on an accent chair, banquette or relaxed curtains where its soft taupe depth can sit comfortably with oak, plaster and natural linens. The small-scale herringbone keeps the room grounded without taking attention away from larger pieces.

A restrained herringbone in soft taupe that works cleanly across seating and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
