Kuna Ebony

Baya FabricL9388-03

Kuna Ebony reads as a softly mottled neutral with a dry, tactile surface and a finely worked small-scale texture. The colour sits between stone beige and greige, giving the fabric a restrained warmth rather than a true dark ebony tone.

About this fabric

Woven in 85% wool and 15% viscose, this fabric has the natural body and gentle softness you expect from a wool-rich cloth, with a subtle sheen from the viscose that lifts the surface slightly in the light. The repeat is 0cm vertically and horizontally, so the interest comes from the weave itself rather than a printed motif. At approximately 141cm wide, it is a practical width for upholstery projects, and the close-knit texture gives the colour a heathered, linen-like depth. In this colourway, the tone is a calm warm beige-grey that feels grounded and versatile, with just enough contrast in the weave to keep it from appearing flat.

How to use it

Use it on sofas, armchairs, or banquettes where you want a neutral that still feels tailored and textural. It pairs well with oak, dark timber, black accents, and softer chalky wall colours.

A quiet neutral that adds depth and warmth without reading heavy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
