Mira Silver

Zander Velvets VelvetJ0300-01

Mira Silver shows a softly striated velvet surface in pale silver-beige, with a gentle vertical shimmer that lifts the colour without making it cold. The effect is calm and tailored, with the pile catching the light in fine, subtle bands.

About this fabric

Part of the Zander Velvets collection by Jane Churchill, this velvet is composed of 60% viscose, 27% cotton and 13% polyester, with an approximate width of 136cm and a repeat of V 19cm / H 17cm. In this colourway the design reads as a muted silvered beige rather than a bright metallic, so the surface has an easy warmth alongside its sheen. The vertical striation is crisp but understated, giving the fabric a quiet rhythm that feels more refined than decorative. Its soft reflective quality suits upholstery especially well, where the pile can show depth and movement across curved or upholstered forms.

How to use it

Use Mira Silver on a sofa, armchair or headboard where its cool-warm neutral tone can sit beside oak, limestone and linen. It also works neatly with deeper charcoal or taupe accents, letting the subtle silver sheen provide contrast without glare.

A quiet metallic neutral that reads refined and easy to pair with pale woods or chalky stone.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
