Mira Navy

Zander Velvets VelvetJ0300-04

Mira Navy is a richly shaded velvet with a tight, directional pile that gives the surface a subtle striated shimmer. In this colourway, the navy reads blue-green and shadowy, with a cool depth that changes as the pile catches the light.

About this fabric

This velvet from Jane Churchill’s Zander Velvets collection is composed of 60% viscose, 27% cotton and 13% polyester, with an approximate width of 136cm and a repeat of V 19cm / H 17cm. The visible finish is softly brushed and vertically streaked, creating a fine tonal movement rather than a bold pattern. Mira Navy sits in a deep blue-black navy range, but the pile flashes cooler teal notes where the light lifts the surface. That low-sheen richness makes it feel more tailored than shiny, while still giving enough depth for statement upholstery.

How to use it

Use Mira Navy on an armchair, sofa or ottoman where the dark blue-green tone can anchor lighter walls and timber finishes. It pairs especially well with warm brass, pale neutrals and inkier blues for a layered, elegant scheme.

A moody blue-green velvet that adds depth and polish to tailored seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
