Malibu Ebony

Baya FabricL9386-01

Malibu Ebony shows a pale, feathery ivory motif set against a much darker grey-beige ground, giving the design a cool, tonal contrast with real depth. The pattern reads as layered and textural rather than bold, with the light catching the raised-looking linear detail.

About this fabric

This Larsen Baya fabric is composed of 63% cotton, 17% acrylic, 16% polyester and 4% other fibres, with an approximate width of 126cm and a vertical repeat of 55cm by 63cm. In Malibu Ebony, the design appears as soft ivory fronds or brushstrokes crossing a muted ebony-grey base, so the overall effect is lighter and airier than the name suggests. The weave has a subtly striated surface that supports the pattern and keeps the colourway from feeling flat. With its Q 8 + T 3 care code and K fire code, it is a practical decorative textile with a polished, tailored look.

How to use it

Use Malibu Ebony on an accent chair, occasional sofa or structured cushions where the pale motif can stand out against darker upholstery. It also works well in a refined scheme with stone, charcoal and brushed metal, letting the cool ivory notes soften the room.

The pale ivory pattern lifts the dark ground for a refined, textural finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
