About this colour

This shade reads as a muted mid green with a soft warm-grey undertone, so it has enough depth to feel composed without looking dark. On walls, it holds light gently and gives a room a calm, restful edge rather than a crisp, fresh one. In north-facing light it can turn a little cooler and more restrained, bringing out its greyed side; in south-facing rooms it feels fuller, greener and slightly warmer. In Active Emulsion or Waterbased Eggshell, it suits both walls and painted woodwork, especially beside oak, walnut, tan leather and natural linens, where its earthiness feels at home.

How to use it

Botanical Green works well in sitting rooms, studies and hallways, and it is particularly good on joinery or panelling where you want a colour with depth. It pairs neatly with cream upholstery, tobacco leather, faded florals and pale timber finishes.
