Serpentwined Charcoal

Earth Odyssey by Becca Who FabricSRPNTWNDCHR

Serpentwined Charcoal sets an intricate botanical composition against a deep charcoal-grey ground. Mirrored serpents, curling foliage and pale florals create a richly illustrated, symmetrical surface.

About this fabric

The charcoal ground reads cool, deep and softly muted, allowing the cream, ochre, rust, sage and muted blue details to emerge with considerable depth. Mirrored serpents wind through the design beside curling stems, stylised leaves and large cream-and-gold flower forms. Fine linework and layered colour give the surface an ornate, tapestry-like visual character, while the dark background keeps the overall impression grounded rather than bright. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Serpentwined Charcoal where its cool, dark ground can provide visual weight, such as on a statement chair, occasional upholstery or full-length curtains. Echo the rust, ochre and sage accents with plain cushions or painted wood for a considered, collected scheme.

Use the cool charcoal ground to anchor layered interiors, balancing its ornate botanical detail with quiet natural textures.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
