Baker House Linens FabricBF10961.940

Baker House Linen Slate is a cool, finely woven grey linen with a softly layered surface. Its restrained slate tone shifts subtly across the cloth as the crossing threads catch the light.

About this fabric

The close plain weave is visibly formed from fine horizontal and vertical threads, giving the surface a delicate crosshatched texture rather than a flat, uniform finish. This colourway reads as a quiet blue-leaning slate grey, with gentle tonal variation that adds depth without introducing a pattern. Made from 100% linen and 137 cm wide, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 50,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on upholstered furniture, while care is professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use the cool slate-grey tone to give a sofa or headboard a calm, tailored foundation, or let it fall as understated curtains against pale stone, chalky white or deeper charcoal. The fine weave works particularly well where close-up texture matters more than a bold motif.

A cool slate-grey linen with a fine crosshatched weave, suited to tailored upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
