About this fabric

Woven from 45% linen, 26% wool, 3% nylon and 26% acetate, this 137 cm-wide fabric has a compact, nubby boucle texture rather than a printed motif. The Slate colourway reads as a muted grey with warm taupe flecks and darker charcoal accents, creating a softly shaded surface as the light moves across the loops. With a 50,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. After care is professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use the cool, softened slate tone on a generous sofa or occasional chair, then echo its taupe flecks with warm wood, stone and muted beige. It can also bring quiet texture to full-length curtains or a tailored bedspread without introducing a strong pattern.

A dense, softly flecked boucle with the weight and durability for upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
