About this fabric

The close boucle texture gives this colourway a softly nubby, tactile appearance, with tiny tonal flecks creating depth across the near-charcoal marine shade. Its composition is 45% linen, 26% wool, 26% acetate and 3% nylon, and the fabric is 137 cm wide. Tested to 50,000 Martindale rubs, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The restrained blue-grey tone brings a cool, grounded presence while the irregular surface keeps it from feeling severe or overly formal.

How to use it

Use Marine on a generously upholstered sofa or armchair where its dark blue-grey depth can anchor pale stone, warm timber and brushed metal. It also lends itself to full-length curtains or a bedspread when paired with lighter linens to reveal the boucle’s subtle flecking.
