Burford Stripe Blue combines cool blue-grey and soft ivory in closely spaced horizontal bands. Repeating diamond motifs give the woven surface a measured geometric rhythm, while the pale ground keeps the colourway light and calm.

About this fabric

This 138 cm fabric is woven from 42% viscose, 28% linen, 26% cotton and 4% polyester. The design has a 19 cm vertical repeat and a 23 cm horizontal repeat, creating compact diamond shapes within alternating blue-grey and ivory stripes. In the swatch, the blue reads muted and slightly cool rather than saturated, with the raised weave adding quiet tonal depth across the bands. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, and must be professionally dry cleaned rather than washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use the cool blue-grey tone to temper warm timber, pale oak or chalky painted furniture. Its small-scale stripe works neatly on an occasional chair or headboard, while the horizontal rhythm can add a relaxed linear accent to curtains or a bedspread.
