Byron Caramel/Burgundy

Country House Fabrics FabricSAF0078-06

Byron Caramel/Burgundy is a warm, country-style tartan with caramel ground tones lifted by burgundy and olive checks. The brushed woven surface gives the pattern a soft, tactile depth rather than a crisp, flat finish.

About this fabric

This fabric is supplied on a 140 cm usable width and has a substantial weight of 365 gsm, which gives it the heft you would expect from a confident upholstery cloth. The plaid pattern repeats every 37 cm vertically and 36.5 cm horizontally, creating broad bands of colour that read clearly across larger pieces of furniture. In this colourway, the caramel base feels mellow and earthy, while the burgundy stripes add a deeper, wine-toned contrast and the green notes keep the overall look grounded. The texture visible in the image is softly napped, so the light catches the surface with a gentle, matte warmth rather than a sheen.

How to use it

Use Byron Caramel/Burgundy on an armchair, ottoman, or dining seat where the warm tartan can bring instant country character. It also works well with aged wood, brown leather, and muted paint colours that let the caramel and burgundy tones stand out.

A warm tartan that suits country-style upholstery and tailored cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
