Box Hill Eau De Nil/Linen

Country House Fabrics FabricSAF0052-01

Box Hill in Eau De Nil/Linen has a gentle, leaf-filled pattern that reads softly through the cream ground. The eau de nil accents give the design a fresh, airy lift without losing its country-house calm.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric has a usable width of 137 cm and a 46 cm vertical and horizontal repeat, so the trailing leaf motif is designed to settle into a regular, balanced rhythm across a room. At 300 gsm, it has enough substance for tailored curtains as well as structured upholstery applications. The colourway is notably pale and muted: a creamy linen base with restrained blue-green foliage and warmer beige detailing that keeps the pattern feeling light rather than crisp. The overall effect is soft and breathable, with the woven surface and fine 19.5 threads per cm giving the print a calm, cloth-like finish.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair or dining chairs where the soft eau de nil notes can sit against oak, willow, or painted joinery. It also makes elegant curtains in a room with chalky walls, where the creamy ground will keep the space bright.

Pair it with pale timber, linen, and aged brass for an easy country-house feel.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Box Hill Eau De Nil/Linen without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
