Byron Linen/Pebble

Country House Fabrics FabricSAF0078-03

Byron Linen/Pebble shows a softly layered check in linen, pebble and taupe with muted brown striping running through the design. The overall effect is calm and slightly weathered, with the woven texture keeping the pattern feeling grounded rather than crisp.

About this fabric

This Sanderson Country House Fabrics textile is a substantial 365gsm fabric, which suits upholstery well and gives the check a full, stable handle. The 140cm usable width and 37cm vertical repeat make the design practical for larger pieces, while the 36.5cm horizontal repeat creates a balanced, orderly grid. Visually, the colourway reads as warm beige and stone with gentle grey-brown lines and a faint linen-like softness in the ground. The pattern has enough contrast to be readable, but the tones stay restrained, so it feels more classic country tailoring than bold plaid.

How to use it

Use this pebble-toned check on an armchair, ottoman or dining seat where the muted colours can sit alongside oak, aged brass and painted wood. It also works neatly with cream walls and natural linens, where the soft beige ground keeps the room light.

A gently faded check that brings a warm, country-house softness to seating or blinds.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Byron Linen/Pebble without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
