Vintage Velvet Teal
Vintage Velvets VelvetBF10700.615
Vintage Velvet Teal has a deep, cool teal ground with softly mottled shading across the pile. Its velvety surface catches the light unevenly, creating a gently weathered depth rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric
Made from 5% viscose and 95% polyester, this 137 cm (53.82") velvet has a dense, softly brushed appearance that suits both upholstered forms and full-length curtains. The teal shifts subtly between blue-green and charcoal-toned areas as the nap changes direction, giving plain upholstery visual movement without a printed motif. With a 50,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for loose upholstery, fixed upholstery, curtains and bedspreads. Care is professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.
How to use it
Use this cool, deep teal on a reading chair, sofa or upholstered headboard to bring saturated colour and tactile depth to a room. As curtains or a bedspread, its cloudy surface will soften the scheme while retaining a quietly dramatic, cocooning feel.
A richly shaded teal velvet for upholstered seating, curtains, bedspreads and layered, atmospheric schemes.

Pairs well with
Vintage Velvet Teal is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
