Keswick Velvet Aqua has a cool blue-green ground layered with fine horizontal striations in pale aqua, grey and deeper teal. The irregular tonal movement gives the velvet a softly weathered, atmospheric appearance rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

This velvet’s aqua tone sits between blue and green, with darker teal threads and lighter grey-blue flecks creating visible depth across the surface. The closely spaced horizontal texture gives the fabric a gently rippled appearance, while changes in the light bring out alternating darker and brighter bands. Composed of 22% polyester, 52% viscose and 26% cotton, it is supplied at 140 cm (55") wide for loose and fixed upholstery. A 50,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on seating; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use this cool aqua-teal velvet on a sofa, occasional chair or upholstered headboard to introduce depth without the intensity of a saturated jewel tone. Pair it with chalky neutrals, smoked timber and brushed metal to emphasise its grey-blue striations.
