Daffodil Cove Blue/Chocolate

Cornubia Fabrics FabricMOF0143-04

Daffodil Cove Blue/Chocolate brings a cool aqua-blue ground to a densely arranged botanical trail, with chocolate-brown stems and small yellow flower heads creating warm contrast. The close repeat gives the swatch a richly patterned, almost tapestry-like presence.

About this fabric

The 262gsm fabric is woven with 35.8 threads per centimetre, giving this colourway a substantial mid-weight handle suited to both upholstery and drapery applications. Across the aqua-teal ground, curling chocolate foliage, pale stems and yellow botanical accents form a compact scrolling design rather than a loose, open trail. Its 22.8cm vertical repeat and 13.7cm horizontal repeat keep the pattern rhythm frequent across the 137.2cm usable width. The cool blue-green base softens the stronger chocolate and yellow details, so the overall impression is colourful but balanced.

How to use it

Use this blue-green colourway on a reading-chair pair, window seat or relaxed curtains where its cool aqua ground can be warmed by chocolate wood tones, ochre accessories and natural woven textures. The compact repeat also works well alongside plain teal, cream or brown upholstery.

Pair the cool aqua-teal ground with warm timber, chocolate leather and aged brass for a balanced Morris & Co. scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Daffodil Cove Blue/Chocolate without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
