Alveston Teal
Essential Colours II FabricBF10881.615
Alveston Teal has a quietly variegated surface, combining muted blue-teal threads with fine taupe and grey flecks. The close weave gives the colour depth rather than a flat, uniform finish.

About this fabric
Woven from 58% Cotton, 28% Viscose, 7% Linen, 6% Acrylic and 1% Nylon, this 140 cm (55") fabric has a compact, nubby texture visible across the swatch. Its cool teal ground is softened by closely mixed neutral threads, creating a smoky blue-green impression that changes subtly with the light. With a 35,000 Martindale rub test, it is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Alveston Teal must not be washed, bleached or ironed and should be professionally dry cleaned.
How to use it
Use Alveston Teal on a generously upholstered chair, sofa or headboard where its cool blue-green depth can anchor warmer taupe, natural linen and pale timber tones. Its small-scale fleck also works well on curtains or bedspreads when a room needs colour without a pronounced motif.
A cool, flecked teal weave with enough texture for upholstery and a softened look for curtains or bedspreads.

Pairs well with
Alveston Teal is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
