Morley Teal

Baker House Textures FabricBF10959.615

Morley Teal is a cool, muted blue-teal textile with a finely woven, closely spaced geometric surface. The subdued shade reads almost blue-grey in the photograph, while the small repeating motif adds quiet definition without visual heaviness.

About this fabric

The surface is formed by a tiny, regular diamond-like pattern, with pale and deeper threads creating a softly mottled teal-grey effect. At 142 cm wide, this GP & J Baker fabric is made from 55% cotton, 24% viscose, 11% linen, 7% acrylic and 3% polyester. Its 1.5 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeats keep the geometry discreet across larger upholstered areas. A 45,000 Martindale rub test supports its specified use for loose and fixed upholstery, as well as curtains and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use Morley Teal to bring a cool, collected note to a reading chair, sofa or upholstered bed, where its fine geometric texture can sit comfortably with plain linens and warm timber. As curtains, its blue-grey depth will frame a room without the stronger visual weight of a saturated teal.

A cool, greyed teal with a fine geometric weave, equally suited to tailored upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Morley Teal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
