Ashton Stripe Nile

Ashton Lane Fabric

Ashton Stripe Nile presents a cool, muted aqua-teal stripe with fine vertical movement across a softly textured woven ground. Its pale flecks temper the colour, giving the swatch a light, quietly layered appearance.

About this fabric

The design is made up of closely spaced narrow vertical stripes, with teal lines alternating against pale aqua and silvery neutral threads. The surface has a visibly tactile, irregular weave that catches the light without becoming glossy. This mid-weight-looking textile is suitable for either upholstery or drapery based on its visible structure. No performance features or further specification data are noted for this colourway.

How to use it

Use the cool Nile tone on a tailored chair, headboard or relaxed curtain, balancing it with warm ivory, pale oak and soft grey to keep the scheme airy rather than stark.

Pair the cool aqua-teal stripes with pale timber, chalky neutrals and brushed metal for a calm, contemporary scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ashton Stripe Nile without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
