Arran Tomato

Irving FabricF4680-02

Arran Tomato is a lively woven geometric with a small-scale repeating medallion effect in tomato red and warm cream. The pattern reads crisp and rhythmic, with the cream ground lifting the richer red yarns.

About this fabric

Arran Tomato from the Irving collection by Colefax and Fowler is a woven fabric with a compact repeat of approximately V 10cm and H 5cm, set on a width of approximately 138cm. Its blend of 40% viscose, 30% cotton, 24% linen and 6% polyester gives the surface a lightly textured, slightly slubby character that suits the fabric’s woven look. The colourway is a clear tomato red with warm cream contrast, so the motif feels lively rather than dark or muted. The small geometric pattern brings a neat, ordered feel that works well in rooms needing a bit of warmth and visual structure.

How to use it

This colourway suits chairs, cushions or curtains where the tomato red can add energy without overwhelming the room. Pair it with oak, walnut or chalky neutrals to balance the warmth of the red and cream palette.

Use with warm woods and pared-back plains to let the crisp red-and-cream motif stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
