Hector White

Hector FabricF4697-25

Hector White is a softly pared-back linen with a calm, chalky look and a very subtle woven texture. In this colourway, the white reads warm and diffused rather than stark.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, Hector White has a naturally slubbed surface that gives the plain design a gentle grain and a lightly lived-in feel. The swatch shows a soft white ground with just a whisper of warmth, so it feels fresh without looking sharp or clinical. With a width of approximately 139cm and a horizontal repeat of about 2cm, it is a practical cloth for large upholstery runs or full-length drapery where a simple, quiet surface is needed. The Q 8 + T 3 care code and √BM fire code make it a sensible choice for residential interiors where understated elegance matters.

How to use it

Use Hector White to soften darker timbers, pale painted joinery, or rooms with lots of natural light, where its linen texture can glow gently. It is especially effective on relaxed curtains, headboards, and upholstered pieces that benefit from a clean, airy finish.

A clean, quietly textured white that works beautifully across upholstery and drapery.

Pairs well with

Hector White is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
