Oliver Cream

About this fabric

From the Hector collection by Colefax and Fowler, this fabric is 100% linen and measures approximately 144cm wide, with a vertical repeat of 0cm and a horizontal repeat of around 4cm. The swatch shows a delicate woven texture with a barely-there diagonal structure, which softens the solid cream ground and gives it a gentle depth. Oliver Cream reads as a warm, muted off-white rather than a sharp ivory, so it catches the light with a low, matt glow. With no performance features noted, it is best considered for decorative use where its natural linen handle can be appreciated.

How to use it

Use this soft cream alongside chalk whites, pale oak and stone for a light, restrained scheme. It would suit relaxed upholstery or flowing curtains where the subtle weave can add texture without visual weight.

A quietly tonal linen that works beautifully across relaxed seating and soft window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
