About this fabric

This Bowood Green/Grey Chintz colourway has a quiet, washed cream background that lets the small rose motifs sit softly rather than sharply. The flowers read as chalky grey-white, while the leaves bring in a muted sage and olive note that keeps the design cool and restrained. It is woven in 100% cotton with an approximate width of 135cm, and the repeat is V 35cm / H 19cm, giving the pattern a neat, regular rhythm. With its light handle and printed chintz character, it suits curtains, blinds and lighter decorative upholstery where the gentle colour contrast can be appreciated. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use it in a country bedroom, breakfast room or sitting room where the soft cream ground can lift darker furniture. It pairs especially well with painted wood in pale grey, putty or sage tones.

Pretty for curtains or light upholstery in a calm, traditional scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
