Beeching Cream

Hugo FabricF3926-01

Beeching Cream is a softly woven geometric in a pale ivory cream that reads calm and restrained. The tiny diamond motif gives the cloth a refined texture without interrupting the overall lightness of the surface.

About this fabric

Beeching Cream from the Hugo collection by Colefax and Fowler is composed of 56% cotton, 31% viscose and 13% linen, with a repeat of approximately V 1cm / H 1cm and a width of approximately 143cm. The small geometric pattern appears as a fine lattice of tiny diamonds, picked out in slightly deeper cream against a warm off-white ground. Its surface feels quietly textured rather than bold, so the design stays elegant and understated even at close range. The overall effect is a soft ivory tone with a gentle natural warmth from the linen blend, while the viscose lends a smoother, more polished finish.

How to use it

Use this pale cream colourway to lighten paneled chairs, tailored blinds or simple curtains where the small-scale pattern can add interest without visual weight. It sits especially well with oak, painted timber and other warm neutrals.

A quiet ivory ground that works neatly across upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
