Bute White

Liliana Sheers FabricF4029-01

Bute White is a quietly luminous sheer in a soft ivory white, shown here as long, fluid drops with a gentle, translucent hand. Its finish feels calm and airy rather than stark, with the weave reading as smooth and lightly textured in the light.

About this fabric

Bute White from the Liliana Sheers collection by Colefax and Fowler is composed of 63% Linen and 37% Polyester, with no repeat, making it ideal for a clean, uninterrupted window fall. The 288cm approximate width is especially useful for wide drapery spans and elegant full-length curtains. Visually, this colourway sits in a soft ivory-white range with a faintly warm cast, so it feels fresher than cream but gentler than a bright optic white. The sheer surface catches light evenly, creating pale vertical bands and a subtle linen character without any obvious pattern.

How to use it

Use Bute White where you want daylight to stay bright but softened, especially in contemporary living rooms, bedrooms, or layered sheer curtains. Its restrained ivory tone pairs well with pale oak, plaster pinks, and muted stone finishes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
