Orso Prune

Orso FabricM4114-11

Orso Prune is shown here as a near-solid, deeply shadowed burgundy with a prune undertone and a matte, cotton-rich look. The colour reads dark and enveloping, with just enough softness in the surface to keep it from feeling flat.

About this fabric

This colourway has a very dark prune base that sits between wine red and blackened burgundy, giving the cloth a formal, cocooning presence. The swatch shows no visible pattern repeat, so the interest comes from the depth of colour and the subtle surface texture rather than motif. Woven in 100% cotton and offered at approximately 138cm wide, it has the familiar grounded character of a natural fibre fabric. The overall effect is smooth and restrained, making the shade feel especially suitable where a serious, tailored finish is wanted.

How to use it

Use Orso Prune on an upholstered armchair, banquette or headboard to bring a rich, architectural note into the room. It pairs well with warm woods, antique brass and soft neutrals that let the deep burgundy read as the hero colour.

A rich, shadowy tone that feels elegant on tailored seating and accent pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
