Orso Ocean

Orso FabricM4114-15

Orso Ocean is a smooth, plain fabric in a very deep blue-green that reads almost black in the shadows and more teal where the light catches it. The overall effect is calm, moody and refined rather than bright.

About this fabric

This Orso colourway from Manuel Canovas is woven in 100% cotton and has an approx. 138cm width, with a vertical and horizontal repeat of 0cm approx. The surface appears plain and softly matte, with a dense, even colour that shifts between dark teal and inky green-blue depending on the light. That depth gives the fabric a settled, atmospheric look, making the colour feel more luxurious than vivid. With its cotton composition and balanced weight, it works well for either upholstery or drapery, and the √CM fire code is noted.

How to use it

Use this ocean teal as a grounding tone on a club chair, bench cushion or full-length curtain where the colour can sit against pale timber, brass or chalky neutrals. It is especially effective in rooms that need a darker accent without moving fully into black.

A rich blue-green that suits tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
