About this fabric

This colourway sits in a pale beige-sand range, with a creamy ground and a slightly deeper linen-toned motif that gives the pattern definition without harsh contrast. The woven surface has a dry, lightly nubby feel in the image, which suits the fabric's 59% viscose, 25% linen, 11% cotton, 3% acrylic and 2% polyester composition. At approximately 142cm wide with a repeat of V 18cm and H 23cm, it is a practical cloth for balanced upholstery or drapery use. The overall effect is calm and refined rather than crisp, making the design feel easy to live with in lighter rooms.

How to use it

Use Baxter Sand to soften upholstered seating, dining chairs or occasional curtains where a warm neutral is needed. Its sandy tone pairs especially well with oak, chalky whites and aged brass for a relaxed but polished scheme.

A soft neutral with subtle texture that layers easily into classic interiors.

Pairs well with

Baxter Sand is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
