About this fabric

Woven in 60% linen and 40% viscose, this fabric has the slightly dry, natural look of linen tempered by the smoother lift of viscose. The check is set on an approx. 18cm vertical by 15cm horizontal repeat, and the open weave lets the red bands read as mellow, washed coral rather than a sharp primary red. The sand ground keeps the design light and neutral, so the overall effect is calm and breathable rather than busy. With an approx. 140cm width, Appledore Check Red/Sand is a versatile furnishing textile for softer decorating schemes. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √CH are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this red-and-sand check to bring warmth to an informal sitting room, breakfast nook or country kitchen, especially alongside painted woodwork, rattan and natural timber. Its softened red tone sits comfortably with cream, putty and aged oak.

A fresh country-style check that works beautifully for cushions, loose covers or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
