Manuel Canovas

Iris Azur

Iris FabricM4084-34

Iris Azur reads as a cool, deep teal-blue with a quietly striated surface and a soft, polished finish. The colour feels clear and slightly aquatic, with enough depth to hold its own on a larger piece of furniture or a set of curtains.

About this fabric

This Manuel Canovas fabric is composed of 80% cotton and 20% polyester, giving the cloth a natural look with a little extra stability. The surface shows fine horizontal texturing and a gently variegated blue tone that shifts between marine, peacock and inkier teal notes as the light moves across it. With a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx, it reads as a plain across the width rather than a motif-led design, making the texture and colour the main features. At 138cm approx wide and with no performance features noted, it is a versatile decorative fabric suited to refined interior schemes. The Q 8 + T 3 care code and √BM fire code are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Iris Azur where you want a cooler, sharper alternative to navy: it brings depth to contemporary upholstery and looks especially crisp against pale oak, chalky whites and brushed metal. On curtains, the blue-green tone will feel rich yet controlled, giving a room a smart, quietly coastal edge.

A crisp teal-blue with a subtle sheen that works beautifully on tailored blinds or elegant upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
