Manuel Canovas

Bala Indigo

Giverny FabricM4212-01

Bala Indigo layers a painterly floral trail over a pale ground, with the indigo leaves and outlines giving the pattern a crisp, tailored contrast. The motif feels airy rather than dense, so the design reads decorative without becoming heavy.

About this fabric

This Manuel Canovas fabric from the Giverny collection is composed of 36% Linen, 34% Cotton and 30% Acrylic, with a width of approximately 132cm and a repeat of V 66cm / H 66cm approx. In this colourway, the pattern is drawn in deep indigo and blue-black outlines with paler inner detailing, creating a cool, refined contrast against the soft ivory ground. The leaf and blossom forms are clearly defined, and the slightly textured linen-cotton character stops the blue from looking flat or glossy. Care code Q 8 + W 3 and fire code K are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Bala Indigo on a chair, occasional sofa or window treatment where the crisp blue pattern can stand out against pale paintwork. It works especially well with natural oak, chalk white and muted navy accents for a calm, composed scheme.

Pair with chalky linens and dark timber for a tailored, quietly classic look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
