Celestine Moutarde

Giverny FabricM4223-02

Celestine Moutarde shows the Giverny design on a mellow mustard ground, scattered with finely drawn florals and curling stems in pink, teal and soft blue. The overall effect is bright but aged, with the linen weave giving the surface a natural, matte character.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this fabric has the airy look and lightly textured handle associated with a mid-weight decorative cloth. The repeat is substantial at approximately V 100cm / H 134cm, which suits the large, wandering floral pattern visible across the swatch. Celestine Moutarde balances a warm yellow base with crisp teal foliage, rosy blossoms and touches of pale blue, so the design reads lively rather than brash. The care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want a sunny but refined statement: it would lift upholstered occasional chairs, window treatments or a feature cushion scheme. Its warm mustard ground works especially well with aged timber, painted whites and deeper teal accents.

A richly detailed linen that brings a warm, decorative lift to classic rooms.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
