Celestine Carmin

Giverny FabricM4222-01

Celestine Carmin shows the Giverny design on a warm cream ground, scattered with lively red, blue and green botanical motifs. The print feels bright and detailed, with a painterly old-world charm against the linen base.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this fabric has a natural, breathable handle that suits both curtains and upholstered pieces in lighter-use settings. The repeat measures approximately V 100cm and H 134cm, giving the sprawling floral pattern room to open out across the cloth. In Celestine Carmin, the palette is anchored by a creamy background, while clear carmine reds and fresh blues add energy without losing elegance. Fine outlines and textured-looking petals give the design a slightly artisanal, hand-printed character that reads especially well across larger spans.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want pattern to feel uplifting rather than heavy: on relaxed drapes, occasional chairs or a decorative headboard. The cream ground keeps the saturated reds and blues feeling crisp, so it pairs well with painted wood in off-white, pale sage or deep blue.

A richly detailed linen that brings crisp colour and a classic decorative feel to soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
