About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this fabric has the dry, natural handle and slight slub you can see in the ground cloth, which gives the print a relaxed but polished look. The repeating floral stripes feel decorative without becoming dense, with creamy petals, blue-green foliage and ruby accents standing out clearly against the golden background. Its approximate 44cm vertical repeat and 68cm horizontal repeat create a structured rhythm that suits both drapery and softer upholstery pieces. At 136cm wide, Giverny Soleil offers a practical width for curtains, loose covers and accent seating where a smart, characterful pattern is wanted.

How to use it

This warm yellow colourway works especially well in rooms with oak, rattan or painted white joinery, where the gold ground can read bright rather than heavy. Pair it with linen neutrals or deep blue accents to let the floral stripes feel fresh and tailored.

Use with warm woods and crisp linens to balance the lively yellow ground.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Giverny Soleil without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
