Manuel Canovas

Giverny Carmin

Giverny FabricM4221-03

Giverny Carmin shows a vivid carmine red ground lifted by neat vertical floral stripes. The linen weave gives the surface a softly textured, natural look rather than a flat printed finish.

About this fabric

This Manuel Canovas fabric is woven in 100% linen and has an approximate width of 136cm, with a repeat of V 44cm / H 68cm approx. The design reads as a decorative floral stripe, with alternating bands of small blossoms and larger trailing motifs. In this colourway the red ground is warm, saturated and lively, while the cream, green and soft blue details stand out crisply against it. The linen texture adds a dry, tactile quality that suits the design's slightly relaxed, country-house feel.

How to use it

Use it to add colour to an armchair, occasional chair or blinds where the vertical pattern can help draw the eye upward. It pairs especially well with painted wood in warm white, muted sage or deep brown tones.

A lively floral stripe that brings warmth and character to upholstered pieces or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
