About this fabric

This 410gsm cloth has a substantial woven handle suited to upholstery, while the 22 threads-per-cm construction creates the fine crosswise grain visible across the swatch. The carmine shade is warm and saturated, but softened by darker red threads that prevent it from appearing flat or overly bright. With a 140cm usable width and a 30m standard length, it is practical for coordinated upholstery projects. Both vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0cm, so the plain surface can be cut without motif matching.

How to use it

Use Ruskin Carmine on a tailored armchair, sofa or dining seat where its warm red depth can act as the room’s focal colour. Pair it with aged timber, warm neutrals and brushed brass to bring out its muted brick undertones.

A substantial carmine woven textile for tailored upholstery, adding depth without a visible pattern.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
