About this fabric

This colourway of Faro by Manuel Canovas is woven in 100% Polyolefin (FR), with a width of approximately 140cm and a small repeat of V 1cm / H 1cm approx. The fabric reads as a warm bordeaux red against a pale cream ground, with each tiny square giving the surface a neat, disciplined rhythm. The colour is neither bright nor muddy: it sits in a deep, wine-tinged red that feels polished and grounded. Its close weave gives it enough body for upholstery, while the compact pattern also works well for curtains where a sharper, more graphic look is wanted.

How to use it

Use Maia Bordeaux on an armchair, banquette or cushions to add a refined hit of colour without overwhelming the room. It pairs especially well with walnut, aged brass and warm neutrals, where the red-brown depth feels elegant and settled.

A refined small-scale check that brings warmth and structure to tailored interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
