About this colour

This shade reads as a warm yellow with a soft ochre bias, so it lifts a wall without looking pale or acidic. In north-facing light it can feel a little deeper and more mellow, bringing warmth to cooler rooms. In south-facing light the gold in it comes forward and the colour looks brighter, richer and more open. It sits well beside oak, walnut and painted joinery in off-white, stone or muted green, where its warmth can be balanced rather than overpowered. In Active Emulsion or Waterbased Eggshell, Papavera is a good choice for walls or woodwork when you want colour that feels grounded and welcoming.

How to use it
