Manuel Canovas

Iris Aigue Marine

Iris FabricM4084-31

Iris Aigue Marine reads as a cool, softly washed aqua with a fine horizontal striation that gives the surface gentle movement. The tone feels airy and watery rather than bright, with a muted blue-green cast that shifts subtly in the light.

About this fabric

This Manuel Canovas fabric is composed of 80% cotton and 20% polyester, with an approximate width of 138cm and a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm, so the design presents as a plain surface rather than a patterned one. In this colourway, the blue sits between sea glass and pale teal, softened by a matte, lightly textured weave that keeps the finish understated. The close horizontal ribs are visible across the swatch, adding a refined textile grain without making the cloth feel busy. With no performance features noted and a fire code of √BM, it is a versatile decorative cloth for schemes that want colour without strong contrast.

How to use it

Use it where you want a calm, coastal note: upholstered occasional chairs, bench seats, or pared-back curtains. Its muted aqua works especially well with pale oak, chalk white, and weathered brass.

Its cool aqua tone suits calm upholstery or relaxed curtains with a fresh coastal feel.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
