Cochin Outremer
Jalore FabricM4181-03
Cochin Outremer brings a clean, rhythmic stripe to the Jalore collection, set on a pale ground with strong navy-blue motifs and slender terracotta detailing. The result feels tailored and fresh, with a graphic regularity that reads clearly from a distance.

About this fabric
This fabric combines 42% cotton, 40% linen, 10% viscose and 8% polyester, giving the surface a natural linen character with a slightly softened handle. The design is arranged in vertical stripes with repeated blue leaf-like motifs and narrow accent lines, all set against an ivory ground. In this colourway, the blue reads as a deep outremer tone rather than a bright cobalt, which gives the pattern a cooler, more composed feel. The terracotta touches add a subtle warmth and keep the stripe from looking too severe. With an approximate width of 130cm and a vertical repeat of 20cm / horizontal repeat of 26cm, it suits projects where the full pattern rhythm can be seen and appreciated.
How to use it
Use it for smart occasional upholstery, cushions or tailored curtains where the stripe can run vertically and emphasise height. It works especially well with chalky plaster tones, walnut and aged brass, which let the blue stay crisp.
Pair with warm neutrals and dark timber to balance the crisp blue stripe.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Cochin Outremer without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
