About this fabric

This colourway reads as a near-midnight blue, with a cool cast that appears even darker in the shadows and slightly softened where the nap catches the light. The weave looks close and compact, giving the surface a refined, cloth-like grain rather than a glossy sheen. Supplied at approximately 142cm wide, Gloria Marine is composed of 35% acrylic, 30% polyester, 20% wool, 10% cotton and 5% viscose, with a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx, so it presents as a plain across the cloth. The C 8 < T 3 care code and K fire code make it a practical choice for tailored interior schemes where the colour needs to feel smart rather than bright.

How to use it

Use this navy on sofas, armchairs or ottoman upholstery to ground a room with a crisp, architectural edge. It pairs especially well with pale oak, brushed brass and chalky neutrals for a strong contrast against its dark blue depth.

A dark, tailored navy that works well on structured seating and crisp contrast trims.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
