At #8C8575, Crag Grey reads as a muted grey-brown with enough warmth to keep it from feeling cold. On a wall it softens daylight rather than reflecting much of it, so it can feel quietly enveloping in a north-facing room. In south-facing light the warmer undertone comes forward and the colour looks more stone-like, with the grey still holding it steady. It sits well beside natural oak, walnut and dark painted woodwork, and it is an easy partner for upholstery in linen, herringbone, checked wool and deep neutral shades.
