About this colour

This colour reads as a soft, near-neutral grey with a crisp pale feel rather than a creamy one, so it keeps walls looking clear and orderly. In north-facing light it can take on a cooler, slightly flatter mood, which suits a calm, understated room. In south-facing light it holds its lightness well and feels brighter, with just enough grey to stop it from washing out. On woodwork in Waterbased Eggshell it gives a neat, pared-back edge, and on walls in Active Emulsion it sits comfortably beside muted blues, stone tones and deep charcoal upholstery.

How to use it

It works well in sitting rooms, bedrooms and hallways where you want a pale backdrop that does not fight with patterned curtains or upholstered furniture. Pair it with painted joinery in a slightly deeper grey or with natural oak and linen in soft, cool tones.
