About this colour

This #C0CBC7 shade reads as a pale green-grey with just enough blue in it to feel fresh, but enough softness to avoid looking crisp. In north-facing light it becomes cooler and more mineral, so the grey note comes forward and the colour feels quieter on the wall. In south-facing rooms it lifts a little more, revealing its green side and looking cleaner without turning vivid. In Active Emulsion it suits larger wall areas well, while Waterbased Eggshell gives a neat, understated finish on joinery and trim. It sits naturally beside pale oak, painted beech, aged brass, and linens or velvets in stone, sage, or deep teal tones.

How to use it

Use Embleton Bay in a sitting room, study, or bedroom where you want walls that feel settled but not dark. It works well with cream-painted woodwork, walnut furniture, and upholstery in oatmeal, green-grey, or muted blue fabrics.

A gentle green-grey that stays calm and readable on the wall.
