Iris FabricM4084-09

Iris Taupe has a calm, earthy taupe ground with a fine ribbed effect that gives the surface gentle movement. The colour reads as soft mushroom brown rather than grey, making it quietly warm and easy to place.

About this fabric

This fabric from the Manuel Canovas Iris collection is made in an 80% cotton, 20% polyester blend and comes approximately 138cm wide, with a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx. The swatch shows a closely woven, finely striated surface that sits between matte and softly lustrous, so the taupe tone feels layered rather than flat. In this colourway, the brown-grey base is warmed by a muted mushroom cast, with subtle tonal shifts that become more visible across the horizontal texture. The result is a smart, understated fabric that feels tailored and controlled without looking severe.

How to use it

Use Iris Taupe on upholstered seating, where the fine ribbing will add depth to a simple silhouette. It also pairs well with chalky neutrals, smoked oak and bronze finishes for a grounded, contemporary room.

A versatile taupe with a refined ribbed texture that works neatly across upholstery and drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
