About this fabric

Woven in 80% cotton and 20% polyester, Iris Sable has the reassuring handle of a decorative furnishing cloth with enough body to sit neatly on a sofa or fall well at a window. The 138cm approx width and repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx confirm a straightforward, easy-to-place plain with no pattern match to manage. Visually, this colourway sits in a warm beige range with a whisper of taupe, and the closely worked texture softens the light rather than reflecting it sharply. The overall effect is tailored and understated, making the fabric feel polished without appearing stark or flat.

How to use it

Use Iris Sable where you want a warm neutral backdrop that still feels considered, especially on upholstery with clean lines or simple Roman blinds. Its soft beige tone pairs well with oak, chalky whites and darker accent woods for a calm, layered scheme.

A restrained neutral that layers easily with walnut, linen and muted metallics.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
