Iris Tabac

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a warm tobacco brown, layered with lighter and darker threads that give the surface subtle movement. The fine horizontal striation is visible across the cloth, creating a calm, textural rhythm without a strong pattern. Supplied at approximately 138cm wide and composed of 80% cotton and 20% polyester, it has the feel of a versatile decorative fabric rather than a heavy upholstery velvet or a sheer. With no repeat to manage, it is easy to use across tailored furnishings, cushions, and full-width applications where a steady, earthy tone is wanted. The Q 8 + T 3 care code and √BM fire code are both noted for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Iris Tabac to bring warmth to a scheme with oak, walnut, tan leather or antique brass. Its muted brown tone works especially well in rooms that need an understated, tailored backdrop rather than a strong colour statement.

A warm, earthy neutral that pairs easily with wood, leather and parchment tones.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
